Foamy...

Having gutted the former summer kitchen back to the studs, Rick prepped the sub-floor area with strips of plywood to create an envelope for the foam insulation. When set, we called Berkshire Spray Foam to spray the sub-floor to both insulate the floor and lock in the floor joists. The foam, once sprayed down, dries like concrete and makes for an incredibly dense support system. You can walk on it after an hour! Rick & I laid down 5/8" plywood as the new sub-floor. At this stage the summer kitchen is essentially an empty 16' x 22' area but we have plans to fill it up.
