Night fall at The Witches House on Halloween.
A few months ago a local woman named Claire stopped by to visit. A native of Stockbridge, now in her 88th year, Claire recalled the early owners of the house. The Palmer ladies were quite old when Claire was a young girl. The house was so overgrown and dilapidated back then and the local children were afraid to approach the place to sell girl scout cookies or candy. "We called it 'The Witches House' because it was scary." she said. Turns out the two ladies who owned the house also took a young minister in as a boarder, much to the shock of the local populace. Peyton Place of the Berkshires.
Claire approved of the changes and looked forward to watching our progress. Even in it's restored state it makes for a spooky Halloween house.
